I have over 20 years of experience in the Offshore Wind industry and I am a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and our Lead Supervising Civil Engineer for the ICE. Throughout my journey, I've come to understand the crucial role knowledge sharing plays in driving innovation and best practices within an ever-evolving energy sector. The wealth of insights exchanged among professionals, along with cross-disciplinary collaborations, fosters a comprehensive problem-solving approach. It's a commitment I hold dear and my way of giving back to the next generation. Ensuring that decades of work and advancements are strengthened further, ultimately supporting a sustainable future for us all. ### **A Globally Connected Structures Team** At Kent, we are a team bound by our core value of Infinite Thinking, a shared commitment to consolidate technical best practices, fuel innovation, and champion a global standard. Our strength lies in our ability to seamlessly share knowledge across all our regions and disciplines. For over 15 years, we have conducted global presentations, where our offshore structural teams converge to exchange ideas and learn from each other. During these sessions, we also present our Global Project Case Studies, allowing us to transfer knowledge across regions and ensure we build on our best practices, promoting consistency and quality in all aspects of our technical delivery. In recognition of our commitment to the highest structural standards, the ICE has authorised Kent to deliver the ICE training scheme, giving our global Offshore Structures team, working to Chartership, additional structured learning and professional development support. ### **Knowledge sharing beyond our Structures Team** Leveraging the success of our global presentations, our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) crafted a comprehensive ‘Lecture Series’ on Offshore Wind. Serving as a reliable training resource to help new joiners in their onboarding process. However, our lecture series is also bridging skill gaps across the energy industry. We often have other disciplines within Kent, such as Oil & Gas Technical Safety, Process, Project Managers, and clients utilising these resources to broaden their understanding of Offshore Wind, helping them navigate the energy transition. Today, our knowledge repository boasts hundreds of structural topics, providing an invaluable reference for our engineers, regardless of where they are in their careers. Through our knowledge-sharing initiatives, we're not only enhancing our technical capabilities but fostering a culture of continuous learning. As we continue to navigate the energy transition, we remain committed to delivering excellence and shaping a sustainable future.
