FEED design of 15MW 3-legged and 4-legged jackets with grouted piles in the Irish Sea

Location: Irish Sea 

Duration: 2020 -2021 

Jan De Nul engaged Kent as foundation designer for the FEED stage for the WTG foundations. The site varies between 16m and 33m water depth and has very challenging ground conditions with the presence of stiff rock across the site. Wind turbine envelope of up to 15MW with a windfarm total capacity of up to 375MW.

Support provided included geotechnical, primary and secondary steel, grouted connection and materials and corrosion.
